Selena Gomez and her BFF Taylor Swift have had a hard time seeing each other due to their busy schedules and a full year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday, the 28-year-old Revelacion singer shared a few throwback snaps with Swift, 31, as she wrote ‘kinda missin this one.’
The singing pals have been friends for more than 13 years, first growing close when they each dated Jonas brothers in 2008.

Despite their incredible fame, the at-home snaps shared a stripped back glimpse into their enduring friendship.
The ladies rocked oversized T-shirts and sweatpants as they cuddled up to Swift’s cat Benjamin during a girl’s night, as fans were quick to champion ‘Taylena’ with others begging them to make music together.
First sharing one of the snaps back in 2019, Gomez gushed over the Evermore singer being by her side for all these years.
‘My ride or die. I would die for this one. Thank you for forever being by my side. You have taught me so much, walked through all of this with me, STAYED and you remind me to be a better, human being,’ adding ‘I’m on your side for life.’

They have both publicly remarked over each other in many interviews, Gomez sharing in a 2017 radio interview that their friendship was the ‘best thing’ to come out of their 2008 relationships with Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas.
Taylor remarked over their friendship in 2014 with E! as she spoke about the importance of having a true friendship in the spotlight calling it the ‘longest one I think either of us had really.’
‘Both of us have kind of stuck it out and hung in there through all the different changes we’ve gone through. Longevity is something you really can find very precious and rare in friendships,’ she remarked.
During Gomez’s surprise appearance at Swift’s Reputation Tour in 2018, she publicly addressed the Rose Bowl crowd about how Taylor has been through her side by it all.

‘She’s encouraged me when I’ve had nothing to be encouraged about, and I don’t know if I would be as strong as I am if I didn’t have you and your family because you’ve changed my life.’
And Taylor was quick to be there for Selena when she released her heartbreak ballad Lose You To Love Me as she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2019 that Gomez had ‘risen above,’ so much hardship in her life.
‘She’s been through so much. I’ve watched so much happen in her life and had a front-row seat to so much, and I’m so proud of her. She is such a revelation because now she’s making her best stuff…I’ve just never been more proud.’
Though Swift called her track the ‘best thing she’s done so far,’ Gomez revealed in a March Vogue interview that though she herself also thought it was the ‘best song’ she’d ever released, its reception made her question her future in music while speaking about retiring from it all.

‘For some people it still wasn’t enough. I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that I’m so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it’ll be different. I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music,’ she said.
Both embarking on new journeys in their careers, Selena finally released her highly anticipated Spanish language album Revelacion, and Taylor has gone forward with re-recording her first six albums after the rights to her masters were sold.
The Wolves singer had defended Taylor in a statement against Big Machine’s Scott Borchetta and ex Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun (who sold her albums): ‘You’ve robbed and crushed one of our best songwriters of our time an opportunity to celebrate all of her music with her fans and the world.’
When Taylor finally released Love Story (Taylor’s Version) in February, Gomez once again threw her support behind her friend as she said ‘SO proud of you, as always Tay.’
