Lady Gaga tones down her outrageous attire as she steps out in elegant sweater dress.

She recently invited cast members of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills to star in new pop video.

And It looks as though their style could be rubbing off on Lady Gaga.

After wearing towering platform heels and a strange mask most of the weekend, the 27-year-old singer stepped out on Monday looking much more demure.

Elegant and ladylike: Lady Gaga looked decidedly less out of the ordinary as she stepped out in New York City on Monday

Wearing a woolly sweater dress that would no doubt get the approval of Lisa Vanderpump and co, Gaga finished off her ensemble with bright yellow sunglasses and a matching bag.

The Applause hitmaker sported a thick cream coloured sweater dress with a long skirt and a turtleneck top as she headed for Z100 radio station.

She dressed it up with a pair of white pointed-toe pumps and carried a bright yellow purse with matching sunglasses – making for a harmonious colour palette.

Gaga also donned a long white wig that hit half way down her calves.

She tweeted on Monday morning: ‘Long day of work today! Can’t wait to get started, G.U.Y radio interviews!’.

The Do What You Want singer has just released the cover art for the third single off her third studio album, G.U.Y. – tweeting it and posting it to Facebook on Sunday.

She also added that the writing under the photo is her own.

In what looks like a Polaroid snap, the Born This Way singer stands tall and gazes wistfully upward.

She is clad in a dark red turtleneck body suit with a set of dark brown wings protruding from her back.

Gaga sports a long brown wig and debris stains on her face – having just crawled up from lying face down in the dirt with an arrow thrust through her chest, in the accompanying music video.

G.U.Y., which stands for Girl Under You, has received positive reviews for its underlying message, with Billboard referring to it as: ‘a shuddering dance siren that makes the distinction between gender equality and willful 𝑠e𝑥ual submission.

‘Zedd’s hornet’s nest of production swarms Gaga’s provocative commands, and the sucker-punch of the hook hammers the message home to create the first true ARTPOP standout.’

MTV News added: ‘Undergrads, start your theses! …Gaga plays with gender, 𝑠e𝑥 roles, dominance, and submission, and wraps it up in a pulsing synth beat reminiscent of The Fame era.’

Some of the lyrics read: ‘I don’t need to be on top/ To know I’m worth it/ ‘Cause I’m strong/ enough to know the truth/ I just want it to be hot/ Because I’m best when I’m in love/ And I’m in love with you’.
