Amidst the continual evolution of the K-pop scene, very few groups have made as significant and influential a mark as BLACKPINK.
Their dominance and extraordinary results on all Billboard charts over the years is one of the aspects most applauded by netizens since, even during their group hiatus times, they remained a force to be reckoned with. Now their highly acclaimed “Born Pink” world tour has earned an important place within Billboard’s annual year-end lists.
Even with only 29 of their 66 shows from the “Born Pink” World Tour included in the count, BLACKPINK has set a new benchmark in the K-pop industry by ranking as the top K-pop act on the 2023 Billboard’s Year-End Top Tours chart. They achieved an impressive gross of $148.3 million from these 29 shows, attracting an audience of 703,000. This significant accomplishment places them among the top 10 global artists with the most successful tours of the year, a feat that has sparked a worldwide trend of congratulatory messages from their enthusiastic fanbase. Their position on the chart is only surpassed by BTS, who secured the third spot on the 2019 Billboard’s Year-End Top Tours Chart albeit with 42 shows.
BLACKPINK commenced their ‘BORN PINK’ world tour in October 2022, captivating audiences worldwide in some of the largest and most recognized cities. For nearly an entire year, their musical journey continued uninterrupted, culminating with a grand finale in September at the famous Gocheok Sky Dome in their native city, Seoul, South Korea.

This same tour made BLACKPINK the first girl group in 18 years to win the ‘Billboard Music Awards’ since Destiny’s Child in 2005.
