18-year-old boy gains admission to 6 Top US universities, set to become an Economist

An 18-year-old boy named Payton Pitts has secured admission to six prestigious universities in the United States and he is on the path to pursuing a career as an economist.

Payton Pitts graduated from Francis Parker School in Chicago with an honors grade. He applied to six out of the eight Ivy League schools, a group of elite universities with connotations of academic excellence and high selectivity in admission.

Payton got accepted from the six Ivy League universities he applied to. The universities are Princeton University, Harvard University, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, and Cornell University.

He told ABC 7 that upon receiving the applications, he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders as the acceptance letters were received on Ivy Day, the last day of acceptance.“It was a weight off my shoulders because everyone knows that’s the day where the last few decisions come out,” he said.

Payton’s mother, Adrienne Pitts, said that while raising him, he has always had the drive to succeed. She stated that though the achievement would look too big for him he earned it with his dedication and hard work.

“I’m not aware of a student, particularly from Parker, who has that sort of success in the Ivy Leagues,” Adrienne said. “This is all going to be a little embarrassing for him, but he’s earned this with all his hard work and dedication,” she added.

Along with being a straight-A student, he also had an excellent performance playing basketball and the violin. He also brought back the Black Student Union to Francis Parker School, which was dominated by a white student body.
