But it was Margot Robbie who reigned over the red carpet at the Mary Queen of Scots premiere during the Fest’s final night.

The 28-year-old actress cut an elegant figure in a long black and patterned dress as headed into the film.

Margot’s heartbreaking cheekbones were highlighted with a splash of blush, and she painted her lips a medium pink.

She donned pointed black heels and accessorized with just large hoop earrings.

Mary Queen of Scots is Josie Rourke’s debut at the helm of a major motion picture, but by no means is this the highly-touted British theater director’s first time in the chair.

Furthermore, she has experience with a female-driven historical war drama, as she worked on Donmar Warehouse’s version of George Bernard Shaw’s Saint Joan – about Joan of Arc.

The movie is based on John Guy’s biography My Heart Is My Own: The Life of Mary Queen of Scots, and adapted to the screen by Beau Willimon, creator of House of Cards.

The film is set to hit theaters December 7 in the U.S. and January 18, 2019 in the U.K.
