TWICE was criticized when compared to BLACKPINK

Placing TWICE on the scale with BLACKPINK is considered a media trick by JYP.

Girl group Twice officially returns with the 13th mini album of their career called With YOU-th and the theme MV  One Spark .

In addition to information about the new project that is constantly updated by the Korean press, TWICE is also covered thanks to its concert ticket sales record in South America. The JYP girl group is becoming a mixed topic of discussion when Sports Seoul – a reputable news site in Korea commented that “TWICE will replace BLACKPINK”.

Korean newspaper caused controversy because it said TWICE would replace BLACKPINKBLACKPINK’s success has gone beyond Korean borders

Netizens reacted harshly to the statement  “TWICE’s musical power will replace BLACKPINK” . Many people believe that this is a media trick by JYP after TWICE went on a series of successful stadium tours, including a Mexico tour that sold more tickets than BLACKPINK’s show at the same location.

But overall, TWICE is no longer a competitor of global girl groups. Even when separating the individual achievements of one BLACKPINK member, it is enough to “show off” the whole group.

Jennie’s personal achievements have also “far surpassed” TWICE on the charts

Twice’s achievements “dropped” incredibly in their latest comeback. Specifically, the title song of With YOU-th only “modestly” ranked 1st on iTunes in 14 countries, while on domestic music charts it was completely lackluster.

Confronted with “digital music monsters” like BIBI or IU, who were outmatched, now even junior groups like LE SSERAFIM can easily “oppress” 9 girls. This shows a clear sign of cooling down in the group’s career, completely losing the public’s expectations for this comeback.
