Brilliant man bags Electrical Engineering degree with honors, celebrates achievements

A young man named Michael Abiona has bagged an Electrical Engineering degree with honors at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Michael obtained his bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He shared his achievement on LinkedIn stating that his academic journey was filled with learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences.

He stated that the time at the University of Lagos was challenging but was at the same time filled with accomplishments. Noting his achievements, Micheal said he became a Graduate Member, Nigeria Society of Engineers (GMNSE) while still a student.

He said he won the NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship, the MTN Foundation Scholarship for Science and Technology Students and the University of Lagos Endowment Fund.

Michael was also selected as one of the Top 20 NNPC/SNEPCo Nationwide Scholars where he met with leaders of the Shell Company in Nigeria and top scholars from different universities in Nigeria.

He said he met the Deputy Manager of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS),and Head of Social Performance and Social Investment of SNEPCo.

Michael stated that he did two internships which one was global, got an Interview with Facebook(Meta) and had a phone interview with the CEO of a top tech company in San Francisco.

Michael also worked on a 9-month-long project for a company in the United States and earned multiple fellowship Academic Diligence/Excellence Awards and Plaques.

He expressed his gratitude to all the lecturers at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for their unwavering support, his course mates, and everyone who has been a part of his journey at the university.

Michael also thanked his course adviser, and project supervisor for their support and encouragement. He stated that he is dedicating his feat to God, family, and friends adding that it is the beginning of greater achievements.
